The Brick ripped off my 76 year old parents. They were talked into/coerced/made to believe they needed the extended warranty.

When the electric recline broke and the finished peeled off the loveseat they were denied a claim despite it still being under the warranty. They treated my parents like crap. The internet has thousands of stories of the Brick denying thousands of people warranty claims. If they showed and told customers about all the claims they deny and the reason they denied claims no one would buy the warranty . It is fraud.

The Brick also does not allow returns on open items or return of items because you ended up not liking or the item did not work as you expected. Other retailers do. The Brick also expects you to book appointments to return something but you can come in and give them your money anytime.

The Brick was found guilty in 2018 by the Fair Practice Bureau for misleading marketing .

The web is full of customers explaining their nightmares with the Brick. Their is a Facebook page I hate the Brick

I bought a brand new TV st the brick in fort McMurray Alberta on Saturday and set it up Saturday night and it turns of by itself and when I shut it of and turn it back on I have to change the input everytime to get back to the TV and I called the brick and they said as soon as u open the box there's no refunds or exchanges but didnt mention anything about that when I bought it and now I have to wait for a tech ician to order new mother board and install it imagine that on a new TV only a couple days old so for so for anyone in fort McMurray I wouldn't waste my time or money shopping there there a bunch of scam artists

If you google the Brick customer service or the facebook page I hate the Brick you will see the thousands of people who have been screwed by the Bricks shady return policies and warranties. Make sure you lodge a complaint with the BBB to help out other potential victims of the Brick.

The Brick is owned by Leonโ€™s so if you have been ripped off by the Brick stay away from Leons as well. Please report and post your horrible experience with the Brick to help prevent others from going through the same ordeal

You will be very sorry if you have to return something or use your warranty. Myself and so many others have learned the hard way that the Brick has useless and ridiculous return and warranty policies that screw the consumer. Check I hate the Brick on fb

je cherche de l'aide avec the brick et ce fantome de king and state warranty, the brick m'a vendu un frigo wirpool, de tres mauvaise qualite, j'ai pris une garantie prolongee avec soit disant King and state que le brick m'a offert, ca fait un an 1/2 que j'ai ahete le fridge, quelque mois apres avoir achete le frigo, il donnait du vent chaud, quelqu'un de wirpool est venu et a passe des heures avec un sechoir, finalement il devenait froid, mais la nourriture pourrissait toujours. au milieu du mois de septembre 2018 le frigo a encore arrete de marcher, cette fois ci, completement je suis allee au magasin the brick, ils m'ont donne un numero de king and state, j'appelle du matin au soir, jamais personne n'a repondu, jusqu;a ce que le telepphone se ferme lui meme, je me suis promene a the brick, apres plusieurs voyages, j'ai rencontre un manager, une femme je lui ai explique, elle m'a ecoutee, elle a dit qu'elle va envoyer un message au manager de K and S, parce que elle a essaye d'appeler ca ne repondait jamais, j'allais au store cyrville rd a ottawa chaque jour, il faisait chaud et c'etait dur de manger et de boire , la meme chanson, K and s ne repond pas au telephone, 2 semaines de cela, je suis allee au store su cyrville a ottawa, c;est la que tt se pasait c'est la que j'ai achete le frigo une colere m'a prise j'ai commence a crier et pleurer fort, pour que tts les clients comprennent, j'etais tellement en colere, cette manager, au lieu de trouver une solution, elle m'agacait d'vantage en disant " va chez toi attendre, ils t'ont appeles et tu n'avais pas repondu",c'est pas a moi de dire tt ca mais a k and s, pourtant je n'avais aucun appel manque sur mon cell phone, ca me mettait de plus en plus en colere, j'avais envie de tt casser, vous imaginez, the brick canada, c'est la raison du plus fort hein?

si vous savez que la garantie est pas fiable, pourquoi m'avoir pris mon argent pour leur donner, parce que chaque fois que j'expliqque ca a quelqu'un, ils disent c'est comme ca le brick, et comment peut on mettre quelqu'un comme manager qui ne sait meme pas comment reagir en situation de crise, j'etais vraiment en crise. De septembre a nos jours le 23 decembre pas de frigo, 3 enfants on mange au jour le jour, je n'ai pas le moyen d'acheter un autre frigo, car je paye encore celui la, si vous avez vecu cet enfer la, et avez trouve un truc qui aidait s'il vous plait aide moi, je vous remercie de partager cette mauvaise experience la avec moi

Hello: On June 11, 2019 my wife visited The Brick at 1607 Dundas St East to shop around for a recliner. She decided on one for me and decided to treat herself and bought a second one for herself, since she saved for so long.

She bought one for $ 423.98 and. the other for $ 369.00 and insurance for 5 years. Delivery of $ $40. Grand total $ 1127.71 When the chairs were delivered, one of the chairs, the foot rest lever wouldn't budge when we tried.

Me wife called the next day and on June 13 th and went back to the Brick again went to customer service and the manager told her no refunds or exchanges. Would have been nice to know beforehand. Looking around she noticed a "Today Only " sign and upgraded to a better recliner and $89.95 for delivery again.

On July 15 and again on July 17 (the chair we kept,) she went to stand up and the footrest opened by itself. My daughter came for a visit on July 19th, only this time when the footrest opened causing my daughter to trip. luckily she didn't hurt herself. The Brick sent a technician out to look at the chair today, and told my wife it needed a " new mechanism " Everything I wrote here is true.

July 25th my wife went back to the Brick to talk to the manager but she was in hiding. The chair we returned because the lever wouldn't move to open the footrest, (you won't believe this) is now in the "Clearance section " for sale of $ 348. not including tax & delivery. No wonder people on a fixed suffer.

A lot of truth in the rich get richer and the poor go to jail !!! On the Return invoice the manager of the Brick wrote, (word for word ) " customer got delivery chair is for a elder person and he cannot use it since it hard for him to use it manually. we did one time exception for customer to reselect....farheenp " Nothing purchased was from in the Clearance section. I am 66 and my wife is 75, but I am confined to a wheel chair.

She travels by bus and its about an hour to the Brick. We are ill from the way man treats man, but its life...right? My wife is fed up and wants a refund. Why get another chair from the same outfit?

*** July 29, 2019 Latest Update *** Phoned the Brick and told the new mechanism was ordered and should get it and have it in a month or two, or they will send a brand new chair. (probably from the Clearance Centre?) When all is said and done, come back again and pick another. Thereโ€™s a plan, upgrade and spend more.

We wonโ€™t get a refund but the Brick doesnโ€™t care, they got their money. Donโ€™t deal with the devil !!!

Being 76 doesn't automatically convert people to idiocy. One thing they should have learned by then is how to say "NO" and stick with it. This can't be the first time they've purchased such an item and they ought to know better by now.
